Geranium Lake Properties, Jack Loki, Tourist

"Jack Loki puts on his beret and goes to the art museum, part 2."

From the series, Jack Loki, Tourist. The last jackalope on Earth leaves his desert home and travels incognito, wearing the appropriate hat for his disguise.

Wm. Yost never specifies which desert Jack occupies. I can imagine him in a Chuck Jones-designed landscape, with the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote as neighbors. Or within galloping distance of Needles, California, where Jack has scraped up an acquaintance with Snoopy's cousin, Spike.

Geranium Lake Properties, retractions refused

Today and Sunday will be the last days of our summer repeats. Tuesday, August 19, I will begin
posting new panels of GLP regularly. The expected schedule will be every Tuesday and Thursday
for new cartoons. On Sunday, but not every Sunday, I will continue with my favorites of previously
posted GLP panels.

I am still relying on a very old laptop computer. It has always been my style to use limited technology, including limitations imposed by financial costs, but I am suffering a little from the lack of access to my desktop computer. It too is an old computer, which broke down last spring, and remains an inert block caging 40 gigabytes of inaccessible data. Within that data is my asemic comic book, The Fourth Labor of Elmer Olpuk, which includes two additional short comics (one of them is The Friends of Sazzie Nan). Because of critical family matters, I have not had the time to resolve that little crisis, and because of lack of funds, I do not now have the inclination.

Geranium Lake Properties: umber revisited

Geranium Lake Properties: Summer Vacation Schedule

For the rest of July and the larger part of August, I will be making short trips to visit family. I will be able to give the internet my attention only intermittently. For the duration of this "summer vacation", I will be posting panels of Geranium Lake Properties on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will not be new panels. I will be posting some of my favorites from the early days of GLP. I am doing this partly to reconnect with the spirit of Wm. Yost, the fictional creator of GLP. The satisfying but radical tangent that became The Blues consumed far more time than I at first intended, and although I am delighted with the result of that experiment, I want to take GLP back into its original trajectory.
